Our very own Corban Baxter has led the Sydney Roosters to victory with a 16-4 win over the Dragons in the NRLW decider at Redcliffe.
After NRLW grand final losses in 2018 and 2020 the Roosters had a miracle comeback in the semi final against the Broncos to seal their grand final berth.
In front of a 7,855 strong crowd at Moreton Daily Stadium Corban was supported by her family and friends to claim victory on her 28th birthday. She is now a part of the premiership trophy aloft, joining the likes of Dally Messenger, Dave Brown, Arthur Beetson, Brad Fittler, Anthony Minichiello Boyd Cordner and Jake Friend as a Premiership Captain for the Roosters.
The Roosters are the premiers for the first time in NRLW history
With the 2021 NRLW completed, the NRLW players will return to their respective state competitions with the Harvey Norman NSW Premiership starting late in April.
From there, the State of Origin sides will be selected before we gear up for season two of the NRLW later this year.
